About the Role

We are seeking a commercially driven and relationship-oriented Head of Builder Partnerships to develop and scale strategic partnerships with homebuilders and residential developers to drive growth for Flyhomes.

The role will focus on establishing relationships with residential home builders who can connect us with prospective borrowers requiring short-term financing solutions. The successful candidate will develop a strong builder referral network, identify new lending opportunities, and work closely with internal sales, underwriting and operations teams to convert opportunities into funded loans.

This is a strategic business development role within Flyhomes, with responsibility for building a scalable partnership channel, driving loan origination growth, and strengthening the company's position as a preferred financing partner.

What You’ll Own
  1. Builder Partnership Strategy and Growth
  • Develop and execute the strategy for building and scaling partnerships with homebuilders, residential developers, and lenders and real estate agents that serve the builder community.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic partnership opportunities based on business potential, target markets, and alignment with the company's bridge lending products.
  • Build relationships with builder leadership, including owners, executives, sales heads, and their mortgage partners.
  • Establish a scalable builder partnership channel that generates consistent, high-quality lending opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships into new markets, projects, and customer segments.

2. Business Development and Revenue Growth

  • Own business development targets for the builder partnership channel, including qualified loan opportunities, funded loan volume, and revenue.
  • Develop partnership models that create mutual value for builders, borrowers, and the company.
  • Build a pipeline of prospective partners and convert strategic relationships into productive business channels.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop partner acquisition strategies, outreach campaigns, and market activation initiatives.
  • Monitor partnership performance and implement strategies to improve lead quality, conversion rates, and funded loan volume.

3. Partnership Management and Engagement

  • Serve as a senior point of contact for key builder partners and maintain strong, long-term relationships.
  • Understand builders' business models, project timelines, financing needs, and customer profiles to identify relevant bridge lending opportunities.
  • Develop partner engagement plans, business reviews, and joint growth initiatives.
  • Educate builder partners on the company's lending solutions, eligibility criteria, loan process, and value proposition.
  • Resolve escalated partner concerns and ensure consistent communication and service delivery.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure a smooth and efficient loan journey for builder-referred borrowers.
  • Partner with internal teams to identify and address bottlenecks affecting loan approvals, processing timelines, and closing outcomes.
  • Share partner and market insights with leadership to inform product development, credit strategy, pricing, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Establish clear processes for partner onboarding, lead tracking, pipeline management, and performance reporting.

5. Market Intelligence and Strategic Development

  • Monitor residential real estate trends, builder activity, housing market dynamics, and competitive lending offerings.
  • Identify emerging markets, builder segments, and partnership opportunities that align with the company's growth strategy.
  • Gather feedback from builder partners to identify unmet financing needs and opportunities to improve the lending proposition.
  • Represent the company at relevant industry events, builder associations, networking forums, and strategic meetings.

6. Governance and Performance Management

  • Establish partnership metrics, reporting frameworks, and operating processes to measure channel effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records of partner relationships, pipeline opportunities, and business performance.
  • Ensure partnership activities comply with applicable lending, marketing, privacy, and referral requirements.
  • Build and lead a high-performing partnerships team as the channel scales, where applicable.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, real estate, mortgage lending, or financial services, with relevant leadership experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling to new home builders with a strong rolodex of existing relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop senior-level relationships with homebuilders, developers, lenders, or other real estate industry stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of building partnership channels and delivering measurable revenue or business growth.
  • Strong understanding of residential real estate transactions, builder operations, and financing needs.
  • Familiarity with bridge loans, mortgage lending, real estate investment financing, or short-term property financing is preferred.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience developing partnership strategies, managing pipelines, and reporting against business targets.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive relationship-building skills.
